The Horatio Alger Association of Canada’s 5th Annual Excellence Gala celebrates Canadian talent, culture and the next generation of leaders. 

The Gala will shine a spotlight on the Horatio Alger Association of Canada’s 2023 scholars, and the achievements of the 2023 International Horatio Alger Award Recipients, who have persevered through adversity. 

Each year, the Horatio Alger Association of Canada awards scholarships to deserving students in financial need who have overcome significant adversity while demonstrating strength of character, and a commitment to contributing to society through pursuing higher education. 

The funds from the Gala will be used to expand our scholarship program and support the next generation of leaders in Canada. 

Canada was built by pioneers who believed in the principles of hard work, honesty, determination, and never letting hardship get in the way of success. Each year, the International Horatio Alger Award—which includes a lifetime membership in the Association—is presented to outstanding Canadians who have achieved great success despite personal and professional obstacles.
